Food shortages in the Gaza Strip
From the early months of the Zionist aggression against the Gaza Strip, the occupation used starvation as a method of warfare. With the continuation of the aggression, the tightening of the siege on the northern Gaza Strip, and the entry of a limited number of trucks, the food shortage crisis is worsening, becoming a famine in its literal sense.
The director of Kamal Adwan Hospital, Hossam Abu Safiya, states that the situation in the Gaza and North Gaza governorates is very bad. Hundreds of children in the Gaza Strip are suffering from malnutrition, and there is a lack of food with diverse nutritional values. The available flour is insufficient for the needs of children, the elderly, and pregnant women, and what is required are foods containing fats and proteins.
